As VP External Relations for Yole!Africa U.S., I, along with the President of the organization, created and delivered a 10-minute elevator pitch demonstrating the business model for the organization and how it could use the competition's prize funding to experienced business professionals. The organization applied and was one of 10 non-profit organizations selected to compete.
A Ban AGainst Neglect
Through UNC's School of Journalism and Mass Communication, I participated in the first annual 24-hour competition to complete a marketing campaign for a local non-profit organization. Our client was A Ban Against Neglect, a local nonprofit that empowers women in Ghana through education. ABAN teaches the women how to upcycle water bags that litter the streets of Ghana into handmade purses that they can sell. Our challenge was to come up with a marketing strategy to help ABAN sell more products and rely less on donors for money. Over the course of 24 hours, we conducted primary and secondary research, developed a strategy, and implemented creative solutions. We then pitched the campaign to the client and seven experienced industry professionals.

PHOTOGRAPHER - VISUAL DESK
My junior year at UNC, I worked on the visual desk as a photographer. I had never had any training in using a professional camera, but my editors were able to teach me the ropes in no time. I found a passion for shooting sports because of the fast pace and awe-inspiring moments I could capture of the human body in action.
Account Management Intern
As the summer Account Management Intern at HOWARD/MERRELL, I had the opportunity to write blog posts on the topics of my choice. I decided to focus on the latest news in social, as this is something that particularly interests me. I received feedback and edits from the Account Manager and Senior Account Supervisor which helped me to create posts that were organized and thoughtful.
Yo-Pro & unc-chapel hill Graduate
For the 2015 Calendar Year, I managed the UNC Panhellenic Council’s Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest. Some of my goals were to show the diverse interests of the members of our organization and report on the events that our council hosted throughout the year. To accomplish these goals, I created campaigns using the hashtags #WhyGreek #MeetTheGreeks and #CarolinaGreekLife.
